Fished off the shore from East Canyon this morning before work. The smallmouth bass action is hot. The trout action is not. The best smallmouth action was on smaller to medium sized spinners. If your patient the smallmouth were pretty much biting any lure we through out there. I had a swimbait on my pole that I could jig it about 4 feet off the shore and a school of smallmouth 3 - 8" would come up and take turns attacking it. If you haven't caught a smallmouth before you might want to head up to East Canyon before the temperature starts to drop. I will post the rest of the bass pictures later tonight. Caught 1 rainbow the entire time using powerbait.
