I went Th and Fr for the first time. The lake is way down. There was 30 yards of deep mud past the end of the boat ramp so we took the boat along for nothing. We tried bank fishing and caught a whopping 8" cat late at night on a worm. We saw one other nice size cat caught. Saw plenty of dead ones that were good sized in the driftwood and mud flats.
At Steck Park, the boat dock is hundreds of yards from water. The old bridge platform north of the RR trestle is half out of the water at the bottom.
While we fished from shore, a boat that launched somewhere far away fished under the RR trestle for several hours. I never saw them catch anything.
We tried worms, cut rainbow, hot dogs, Mormon crickets, Ivory soap, chicken livers, chicken hearts, and maybe more. We were slinging everything we could find in the bait bucket.
