Helped w/Sat's annual CAST for Kids event held at Rockport. Great support from fishing community folks who parked cars, distributed gear, took kids in their boats, helped 'em yank fish, etc. Valerie Heath-Harrison ran affair true to form, just as she has for 14 yrs. After a week of unsettled weather, Sat awoke as a bluebird fishing day --- not too much sun, not too many clouds, and not too much wind. Smallie Nation was fairly cooperative, volunteering 6-14"ers of its own, plus some token slimers & perch thrown in for good measure. Most fell to jigs or bobbered worms. Just like the Catch-a-Cure, a good excuse to go fishing & help some kids. Might wanna pencil it in for next August. Glad I went.

[font "Calibri"]We had a blast helping out at CAST again this year. Thanks to all who came. I had two groups on my boat this year and we trolled for trout this year. It was slow but finally got 3 Bows to cooperate. The weather was beautiful for a day on the water and the "W" even held off until it was time to come in for lunch. My daughter reluctantly came to help and then said she wanted to help me next year. All in all a great day on the water. Met Geezer after fishing. Good to meet you Geezer. A special thanks to all of you last minute signups. We had plenty of boats and lots of
