Floated the river again today. We had two boats and 6 people. Started off around 7:30 am at byington I had one rookie fisherman and one that don't get out much and neither of them had any experience rowing. So I was rowing most of the day. Fishing started off slow but got better as the day went on.

One of the guys in my boat was not feeling to good he said it was bad mexican food the night before. He called his wife and she came and got him at twin bridges. After we dropped him off the fishing started to pick up for everyone. I let the other guy in my boat row a little and we had some interesting moments so his time on the oars was very limited. We were using our normal rapalas and we probably boated around 35 fish between the 5 of us . We got to lorenzo around 3:30 pm. It was a great day
I just cant seem to get enough of the south fork. Thinking about going again in the morning.

I don't own a drift boat, but I know Steelfisher had some interesting experiences teaching me to row his. It does take some time and patience. Now that I know how I always try to take my turn at oars. Hopefully your friends will do the same after they learn. I think that is the problem with owning a drift boat. You end up rowing too much.

Bad Mexican Food? Impossible. You better look into that excuse.[laugh]

Thanks for the report Jim. The water is still running pretty good out there. Don't really need any interesting times at the oars! [Image: dumb.gif]

The guys I usually go with have good experience on the oars. We have a timer that we set for 30 min when it go's off we change. That way you row for 30 min and get to fish for a hour and we switch front to back of the boat also. The problem I have is that i am not married and I can go fishing with out much notice( well maybe that is not so much of a problem)[laugh] and some times it is like pulling death to get someone to go fishing.

The guy that I had the interesting time with on the oars was my boss. So I cant give him too much of a hard time his name is on my check[Wink] As far as bad Mexican food I think he was sea sick and did not want to look like a wimp[laugh]
