Here is a quick summer report....I have had two trips so far in August and we did well both times. We landed a 65,59,4 in the 30's, and 5-6 in the 20's, quite a few eating size fish during those two trips. Due to the heat we have been night fishing mostly....however I did go out for a few hours in the day and that's when we got the 59 pounder, which I didn't include in the pics due to the obvious scenery in the background. Most of the cats were caught while drifting in 28-32 ft of water all of them on cut skipjack.....We had a great trip, but we had several more BIG missed opportunities...The guy's I was fishing with were great. Champ kept saying when we missed one "that's ok there just getting bigger"

I still think fishing is just now heating up and the big bite should continue to get better. I will be gearing up for a couple big tournaments, but I always have time to sneek in a few trips hear and there.

Thanks,
Mike Mitchell
256-673-2250
