The youngin' was in for a few days so we went fishing this afternoon for a couple of hours. Put in at Possum Creek and went out to fish a few spots off of the channel. Got to the first spot and went to get the rods out of the locker. Didn't re-tie at the house cause I just went out the other day and pretty much just used the dropshot pole, so thought all was good, right??? NO!!! emoBang I go to pull out the first rod and notice that the line is cut. I think to myself, this happened to one of my poles the other day, maybe something is sharp in the locker - wrong answer!!! emoScratch I pull out the next pole, line broke. The next pole, line broke. What the @#&& is going on here? emoMad Pull out six poles and all of them have the line cut. Youngin' is laughing at this point and I'm about to throw him in as surely he has snuck down and cut my line!!! emoTskTsk By this time I'm sure those good folks living out on the river are hearing signs of my anger. I tell him to take the trolling motor while I sit and retie everything. Then I notice a floater in the rod locker that looks like something has been eating on it - WAR!!!!!! I think I have mice in the boat emoBadLanguage He's really laughing now and I'm thinking I should throw him in now for sure, but I just chuckle and retie everything. Fished 3 spots using cranks, plastics and dropshots. Didn't do as well on the DS today, but seemed like the crank bite caught more and the best fish even though none were nothing to brag about. Was out ther about 2 1/2 hours, but only fished about 2 thanks to the mice. Did I mention that there will be WAR in Sale Creek tonight??? emoEnforce Caught 8 or 9, none of much size, but had a good time with the Matt till the big cruisers came out and I got hungry so came home. I may need to fish with someone next week while I get the boat repaired from the 12 gauge 00 buckshot holes in the floor of the boat due to the mice!!!! emoBig Happy fishin', Jim
