Just wondering if you guys know some good places to get some bass, strickly from the shore pretty close to town. I know theres bass at clocktowers but there has to be some better places than that for some decent bass fishing around.
Thanks for all the help!

the ponds behind the bob rice pond i think you are referring to are good.if they aren't to weeded up. the problems with the local ponds is that ( i won't profile ) but would like too........ is that a certain demographic group fishes these ponds and keeps everything from 3" bluegill to 3 lb bass and has no clue of limits ect. this spring i fished the rose st. ponds and there was a couple who had several 8"- 12" largemouth mixed in with bluegill even goldfish. in two five gallon buckets. i tried to speak to them they didn't speak english. or at least to me.......
i called fish and game twice this year about this but still see the same behavior and same people so ????
around boise unfortunatly indian creek is dried up...black canyon res obove and below the dam are o.k.........i have done reasonably well a month ago on a family picnic at lucky peak in the jacks creek area. caught a few nice smallies.......above and below swan falls is o.k. halverson maybe? from shore with the drought its tough for bass bank fishing around boise. maybe you can find a buddy with fishing rights in a subdivision pond. i work with a fellow who has this and won't let me fish ! rats...........

The one time i went fishing at the pond next to the clocktower apartments i caught one bass of no size. He was probably five maybe pushing six inches. Below swan the last time i went i caught probably 10+ smallies most of them of no good size but two were pretty good, i mean not monsters but probably could of being keepers. I'll try the other places you suggest. I saw a bass in mcdevit pond once but i haven't had much luck at there catching anything.

There are some decent sized bass out at Eagle Island and also at the Lake Harbor pond off state street (can't remember the actual name of the lake) but have caught some nice ones there.

Oh sorry im in boise. I went fishing out at eagle island one time and we caught some rainbows. But they were small. This was fishing on the pond that everyone swims at but we were fishing behind the slide. Are there more ponds in the park? and how do you get to them.
