A buddy of mine came in from Idaho for his days between hitchs from the rig and we decided to hit Windport for some much needed fishing.

Was on the water at 7am. Cruised to the south end of the res and drifted in the breeze dragging a bluefox spinner on one pole and a crawly on the other. Dave had the crawly and missed a nice hit in the first 7 or so mins in the water (i wasn't even rigged yet!), and had a nice 17ish incher boated in 30 minutes of being in the water. He missed about 3 others over the course of the morning and i missed one.

Must have been his day, and not mine. But, that was good, I was hoping to be able to get him into a bow or two.

The wind pushed us off the water by noon. It kicked up and i thought my little 14 footer was gonna go under. A little nerve wracking, but a good adventure none-the-less.

Came home and Dave celebrated with a picture, and a glass of brandy on the rocks. All in all, not a bad day. Hopefully getting out tomorrow as well.

Always good to let your guest catch the most fish. I often do that -- without even trying sometimes.[frown] What is the water level like at Rockport?
