I could not find anyone to go with today so i went solo. It was 38 deg when I shoved off this morning at 6:30 am a little cool. I figured scents I would be by my self Rapalas would be a little hard to use so I tried a few different things today. A few worked and a few did not. ended up with 5 browns 1 rainbow and 1 cutthroat.. Fishing was definitely slower than it has been lately. I will be back on the river in the morning this time I will use old reliable (rapalas) Here are a few pic's its been a wile scents I have posted pictures hope they are not to big.

Looks like a nice day!
What section of the river did you float?

Thanks for the pics. Looks like you did fine. It is always fun to get out. Steelfisher and I were looking for a rowing partner this afternoon. We ended up fishing Ririe instead.

Nice fish! I also headed out there this morning w/ friends and family. We were flyfishing though. We landed one w/ a streamer early below wolf flats, then nothing for a while. I got a good hit just above Byington on a rubberleg w/ san juan dropper combo, but never saw it to tell what it hit. At byington we all changed to stonefly patterns and hoppers. All of us that got tight to the bank had strikes, but one one solid hook set resulting in a nice cut. all the others seemed to strike short. Oh well, still a pretty day, even if it was cold.

Do you guy's use his drift boat? It sounds like fun fishing Ririe for bass but I cant get enough of the river.

I am not a fly fisherman but all the boats that went by me seemed to be catching fish.

Went out again this morning fishing was on fire! Had the usual crew with me this time. Fished with the normal rapala's we boated around 50 fish. I got the biggest it was a 18.6" brown. The water level has dropped around 1000 cfs from last week. I think with the cooler temp and the water dropping the fishing has picked up. Sorry no pic's

Ya, we fish from his drift boat. We use an electric trolling motor to get around.
