Gills 3/4 to 1 1/2 lbs, 9 inch average and crappie all averaged 10+ inches. Off the lake by 1. Only ones fishing the lake by boat, its getting low but man, what a day.

Sweet! Where is Glendale?

Sounds like a great time! How low is it on the ramp? Are the water skiers still there in the afternoons?

Water is down but ramp still useable. Only one ski boat on when we left but with water way down it does affect fishing. when it started up, the bite went off but thats when I caught the big one. Here's a couple pics, my good camera went dead so took them on cell phone.
Glenndale is just north of preston. Caught fish on tubes of various colors and trolling. Tried stopping and casting into fish when we hit a school but they didnt want to take anything. Found, as I usually do, that they took tubes tipped with worm better when I trolled.
I was surprised no perch which we generally get some and one 14 inch bass.
Good luck and enjoy.

Very nice collection of fish! I might have to head that way and give it a shot.

It is getting low, there were 20 ski boats on there last night. The lakes in utah must be gettin low as the majority were from there.

WOW we left at 2 and only 1 boat on, all of them must have come up after that or after they got of work. 20 boats there's not enough room for that many on that small resevoir with as low as it's getting. More and more bank damage

Seemed to be mostly youth groups. That is what we were doing. it was really crowded. morning is the time to fish. Thanks for the report. That is a nice bow. I heard of another one that size getting caught over the weekend by a young boy.

I went to Glendle about a month ago. Fish were biting nonstop, it finally slowed down a little so I put my pole down to adjust the shift mechanism on my out drive, took two steps away, heard a splash and knew that I just lost my pole. Stripped down and went in after it, but no luck, I thought it was a big Bass that got it, because I haven't caught a Trout with any size there for a while, looks like I might have been wrong.Great fish.[cool]

That's tough luck guy. I hope it wasn't a big $ loss. Suspect it wasn't a bass since they mostly suck the lure in and don't go far. Anyway, replace your stuff and keep on keeping on. [

No it was a Wamart special, $22, but it sure has given me a lot of entertainment for the price. Told the guys at work about it and they all thought that I was crazy, but $22 is something I didn't want to fork out again. The depth finder said 20' and I was on the bottom for a while feeling around. I got back to the top and my wife had her life jacket on and I really think she might of been thinking about trying to save me if she had to, that surprised me after being married for 26 years. Anyway marked the spot with GPS, called a friend from work and asked him to bring his big treble hook to work the next day. We went back to the location and caught my pole, it took about a half hour, the hook was gone, but other than that it still works as good as a Wallys world pole will work.
Sorry for getting off the subject.

Now that is a great story! I've heard of folks pulling in strange things with their poles - not so much the dedication to re-connect with a pole - albiet one of walleyworld's origin.... but hey - carma is as carma does. Can't wait to see what you catch NEXT with it.
Want to go dive for a half a bait cage I tossed away at Benson? Think you'd need sonar to find ANYTHING in that murk.
See any cool fish while you were down there?
