We hit the Uinta's for a few hours Monday before the storm hit.
Was windy the whole time and I am more impressed with the Escape. Might not be a pretty tube to some, but it is a beauty on the water.

Anyway, I headed for the far corner and was catching Tigers by the dozens. A couple nice sized.





Then of course the Rainbow



And Albinos for number three species, but the coolest was a double.

Grayling on the lead fly:

Then I went with Kelly Galloups idea of big flies mean big fish

Amazing patterns on those tiger trout. Are they as aggressive as they say?? Looks fun anyway, I am putting tigers on my bucket list for next year!

Tigers are a great fight. The trick on these is to take a small full flex rod like a 2 or 3 wt. Then they feel like a big one...LOL

I think that is one of the reasons I love the small streams and high mountain lakes so much. The fish are so willing, the scenery is fantastic, and the small 3 weight makes everything "the fight of your life"!! It just doesn't get much better than that.
