After waiting for a while, I got out at 7 and went to a dock that I thought might work today.
I got hit after a dozen shots on a red thunder w/ tail light on a 32 on 6lb.
Had to go to the slow fall method, but it payed off as my 2nd crappie was a 13.5 and MAD.
I thought I had a drum for a second there emoLaugh

I wanted to get an average as we are meat fishing tomorrow, so I stayed for 10 and they were 5 and 5 shorts (less than 11) the keepers were all right at 12 and the 13.5.

I had tied off because of the wind and that came into play as my line twitched and I set the hook on a crossbeam!
The" crossbeam" kept jerking on the line and eventually out came a fish that I couldn't turn!
With one hand I untied and with the help of the trolling motor I got free and was slowly bringing my snag with me.
knew what it was and considered breaking off as I knew I would be trimming slime anyway. emoDoh

I drifted the boat and got that kitty up to the net, but I could only get the head in, so I went to the boca and finally after way too long, I took out the 9 lber.
Took pic and retied

Tried one more spot to finish with a dozen including a blacknose at the new spot.
Saw the rain and decided 10:30 was good enough today.
Saw Whiskers and friend and said hello and then to the ramp and home to the dry.
All fished released alive.
red thunder ghastly moglo baby shad and patriot and all but one with tail lights were the colors that were working today.

Pics to ensue:

emoCool
