the wife and i went to mctucker ponds yesterday afternoon and caught a couple of blue gills and stayed until midnight and took home 13 catfish. nothing real big but all about a pound. they really started biting good about 10pm and the bugs weren't too bad. we decided to leave when the fog truck went around spraying.

I just got back from down there. Caught a nice 19" fat brown, 2 white fish which one was 19" and fat also. Had a few others break me off. Tons of people down there and the ponds are quite low. The mosquito's are getting better, still a few around. Also seen a moose and her calf. The river channel down there is so low you can not put a boat in.

That must be why we weren't having any luck. We tried the pond you are talking about at about 10 this morning without any bites at all, but we could see 1-2 inch catfish minnows swimming around.

We moved to the pond directly east (where I always seem to like going) and we did start getting six or so 9" bass, some small sunfish, and a single 12" bass.

I had wanted to go the night before, fish for catfish in the evening, and then be up with the sun to fish, but I was going with my brother's family and cousins family and it was just easier to do a single day even if we didn't get there super early.

we started before dark and weren't getting any bites but as soon as it went dark BAM they were on. i caught a 14" bass out of the other pond 2 weeks ago and 3 12" bass last weekend

If you can catch any of those tiny cats get one and look at it. If it has a round tail it is a bullhead. If it has a deep forked tail it is a channel cat. If you can get a ID on them and report it that would be great. Ron
