Met Jim at the ramp this moring at 7 AM to go crappie hunting. Had some late breaking info on where to look so we headed out to check out some shallow docks, emoScratch It was very slow for the 1st couple hours while we hit the shallow docks, some as deep as 15 FOW and also hit some deep structure which produced several crappie around 9-10 inches but no slabs, emoAngry Got a call from one of our CFF members who gave me a hint/tip as to where we might look since we weren't really wearing them out where we were, emoThumbsup emoSmile So we rolled up and headed for new territory which payed off around noon, emoThumbsup We headed for the dock at 1:30 with 31 crappie caught, 7 'gills, and one 2 lb blue cat. Big Jim had the biggest crappie of the day with what looked like a TARP but got off while he was banging him on the side of the boat, emoPoke Jim was emoHoppingmad while I told him emoGeezer about the net under his feet, emoBig
<br />It was a good day with plenty waves around noon with that &quot;6&quot; MPH wind, emoRolleyes Bobby Garlands in the Bleeding Shad, Blue Thunder, and Bluegrass were the colors of the day. We used 1/32 nds where the current would let us but sometimes had to use a 1/16 th when the 32 nds wouldn&#39;t go down. No set depth today, some at a 6 count and some at a 12 count and water depths of 8 to 15 feet, emoScratch We did catch a couple over 13 which were also heavy. All fish caught were returned to the depths go grow bigger, emoThumbsup emoTongue No pic&#39;s today, forgot and left the camera in the truck, emoAngry
