Is there some place online that has maps showing public lands in Utah? You would think the DWR site would but I can't find a map that shows the state in much detail. Anyone know why this info wouldn't be available on the DWR's site?

I'm specifically looking for info for Northern Utah. My dad drew a Buck/Bull combo tag and we are trying to find some pockets of public land mixed in with all the private. Thanks!

When you use that map service, how can you tell the difference between public and private? I look at areas that I know are private but it looks the same as public on the topo map.

I have one of box elder county if interested. The yellow is BLM,blue state owned, green USFS and white private.

since they are pdf files use the zoom in feature to get the detailed info you want.

Zoom in. I found that when you zoom in the details get better. If you goto the BLM office in SLC or the DNR map store you can pick up BLM maps that show the same info but in the area that you want. They have the same colors that show state, private, BLM, and USFS.
