Made my first trip ever to Utah lake. Took the advice of some posts on here and went to Prove Harbor to fish the mouth of the river. Had a hard time finding the river, but with the help of a nice guy I finally arrived. I have never fished for white bass before, so it was slow at first, but I finally started catching a few on curley tail grubs tipped with crawlers. Then they really started biting, and every thing I tried worked, including mepps spinners. Great day, ended up keeping 20 white bass from 10 to 13 in, and released at least that many. Water temp was 64 at 7:30 and warmed to 70 by the time I left at 3, no wind and few boats, wonderful day. Just hope white bass are good table fare. No pics forgot my phone.
