Wondering who has used one and if all models of Humminbird Fishin' Buddy fits nicely in the Buddy Strap holder.

The 130 and 140c Models have extendable shaft, so are therefore have a slightly bigger diameter than the 110 - 120 Model.

i have one on my renegade and the guy who got the escape from me has one also for his custom made sonar mount thingy... either way they work well and for 20 bucks it was worth it

I have one and use the 130 which fits fine. The only thing I don't like is that it tilts easily when you're moving since the actual amount of the tube that is attached to the strap is only a few inches. This is even more noticable on my pontoon when I'm moving faster. I wrapped one of those wirewrap type velcro straps around the top of mine and then wraped that around a d-ring on my tube to stabilize the whole thing.

Well, although I had bought the Buddy strap holder, I decided I'll use my old Eagle Z-6000 sonar with its transducer set-up which is already installed on the Tite-Lock Transducer holder for fish sonar

I just removed the boat clamp, and cut a proper section of a pool noddle foam, and shoved it inside the Outcast Buddy strap holder, then slipped-in the Tit-Lock pole (my model had a hard tube as a holder, not just fabric. It is tight enough for it not to slip down when in use and can be pulled-up or down through the foam noddle.

As for my Eagle Z-6000, that, I'll install beside it with home-made lenght straps with buccles, held on the Float-Tube.

And like we like to say in French "Et voilĂ ", done, problem solved.

I have one............I removed the tube and using the strap
only to hold my cuda 300 monitor mounted on top of it
and my transduser boom on side of it. Works great.
See pics.

Nice set-up.

Amazing what I have noticed of float-tubers structural hability to rig their float-tubes. Maybe most of them have hidden engineering skills.

Peter,
I noticed in your second picture that you shortened your transducer cable. I was just wondering have you had any issues with performance or any interference. I want to shorten my cable on my humminbird but have been leary after reading on other forums about the possible problems that might develop.

No problem at all ! Works great, just like never nothing
happend.[Smile]
I just cut the wires, twist and used shring tubing. Electrical
tape on top of that just in case.
Hope this helps.
