Huh. Played poker last night with Spur and friends and took all his money, and then agreed to let him show me some of his &quot;catfish spots&quot; in return for some Humminbird side-imaging of the area so he could get a better idea of the structure.<br /><br />Yep, miss Mary is making ORANGE ROUGHY for dinner tonight, thanks to the SKUNK that Erik put on my boat today. <br /><br />Beautiful morning (although 6:30 in the AM is rarely something I see except to pee and go back to bed). The cold front didn&#39;t seem particularly severe, but it sure seemed to put the fish down today. Spur threw the big 10&#39; radius cast net (quite well for a short fat guy) and managed one threadfin shad, a ton of nice crappie, 2 bluegill, and a couple of short largemouth. Not exactly what we were looking for.<br /><br />Amazingly, nothing in the boat busted or quit, although now the Dodge Durango&#39;s dash lights are now all lit up (brake, ABS, check engine) and the speedometer won&#39;t work under 70 mph. It may not be his fault, but I blame him anyway. <br /><br />Here he is working the cast net:
