Picked up scubajt41 at HBSP about 7:30 and we headed out to do battle with some bass. I had a rod rigged for dropshotting for Jeff and after a quick tutorial we went fishing. I think I neglected to tell him we were bass fishing as he started to wear out the cats. They do like those gulp minnows, and I didn't mind as they weren't biting my line and I could catch a couple of bass, lol. Then he started to catch drum too. Didn't want him to have all the fun, so i caught a cat and a drum also. <br /><br />The bass got very closed mouth when the wind died down, and we would catch a couple when it picked up. Pretty much stayed with the dropshot with an occasional cast or jig with a spoon. Jeff was good enough to bring me a nice Subway sandwich for lunch. Thank you very much. Hope some of my other fishing partners are reading this. emoPoke <br /><br />A little later in the day the wind picked up nicely and we finally got into some good bass action. Even had a double on one time. We had an interesting adventure with a nice blue cat, I will let Jeff tell you about it. Had a very enjoyable day, caught some fish and had some good company. I think we hooked up about 12 Bass, missed some, lost a couple and landed some. All fish returned to the lake. Thanks for the company Jeff, really enjoyed the day.<br /><br />Regards, Labman
