Hit the river park this morning. Went to the dam to catch some shad. One cast with the cast net had more than my cooler could handle. Put half back in the water at least. Grabbed the cooler and ran it back the truck and headed below the RR bridge to try and float them for bass. After half of them died in transit and I drowned ten more in the current I gave up and stated throwing and excalibur top water. Not sure of the collor mostly green I guess. After about three cast I hooked up with a good one that went about 6lbs. Then nothing for the next half hour so I switched to a small spoon and had a blast catching small white bass and hybrids for the next hour. I then left and went above the dam in seach of some new areas. Stopped at a pull off and walked down to the lake and second cast caugt one went 3 1/2 to 4lbs. Not to bad for a shot in the dark. That was it then, just two quality bass and a bunch of small whites.
