Hal and I finally got together after more than a month of not fishing together and fished up river today. We even caught a couple of Dixie Boy's pet crappie, but we let them go. emoPoke emoBig <br /><br />We landed 39 crappie and most from under docks. We both thought that the bite was very slow today. Must be losing our touch. 1/32 oz jigheads with s/p stubby butts being my best lure and Hal used bg shads most all day. We changed colors from time to time and the bite never did improve. The crappie shun them all about the same. emoBig <br /><br />I did catch a little spotted bass and lost a couple more. One of those crappie that I caught was a real adventure. He was under a shallow dock and when I set the hook it made a bee line around a post and hung me up. We could still see the fish on there and it was just out of reach. After about 3 minutes or more of trying to get the fish to swim back around the post, I decided to just break the line. When I put a lot of pressure on it, the fish came loose from the post and I landed him. A very nice 12" + crappie. We released all fish today. <br /><br />We are going again next week sometime, the good Lord willing. emoBig emoGeezer
