I had an inquiry regarding the fascination some fishermen find with fishing Lake Powell when the stripe bass are boiling. Attached is a short video I took at Hite marina of fishing a boil. There were four of us on the boat and we were catching 3 to 6 pound stripers on every cast. Four cast, four fish. This is about as good as it gets! When the boils are strong and prolonged you can fill a boat. It is truly an experience.
The hardest thing for the fisherman to do is grab the camera instead of the rod while this is going on. There are literally hundreds of feeding stripers feeding on tens, maybe hundreds of thousands of shad.
