I orderd a penn 525 Tournamag from Cabelas and it works great for casting heavy weight with the mag control knob cranked all the way down, I cant believe how far I can cast.When I put less weight on and try to adjust the knob, it feels like its not working properly. The knob turns very looseand the cast is very poor with backlashes.I own several bait casters and have no problem casting them so I dont think it's me. thanx for any reply <br><br>
MK<br><br>Opinions vary on the value of mags and personally I am not a fan. I prefer to put the time into educating my thumb so that any baitcaster can be used, mag control or not. <br><br>Either way, it sounds like some tuning is needed at lesser weights to account for lighter casting.
