Went to pineview today looking for tiger muskies on the north west side. Only luck I had was a bullhead. I only fished 3-6 pm Had to be cut short today, Hopefully I will make it up on saturday to give it another try. Anyone know where I Will have the best luck from on shore for a tiger?

NW side so you were in the North Bay or North Side of Cemetery Point???...recommend working the south shoreline off hwy 39...areas to pull-out and park. Numerous areas with sandy shorelines and rocks to cast. Poison Creek, Smith Creek area and along the shoreline in front of Jensen Ranch and also in front of the Condos just West of Anderson Cove Camp Ground. Next work the middle inlet swim beach area east side of PV there are again pullouts to park and you'll seen the parking for Spring Creek. Drive into Huntsville and park in Huntsville South Side of Cemetery point again a lot of exposed shoreline with some submerged brush but not much as there let'n water out of PV fast for the winter runoff...Good Luck.

I never really thought about it but I bet the tiger muskies and maybe even the big browns in Pineview probably snack heavily on those bullheads.

use the bullhead as bait!!

Bullheads are illegal as bait. Also Pineview has a rule that cut baitfish can be no larger then one inch in any dimension.

That is a nice fish, I will be out there on Sat AM, hope to catch a few more than 1 bullhead, but either way, it will be a fun day on the water...fish or not. Also, those little perch pieces work great for bait....just make sure 1" or less and they love em.

Last week we found success after moving from spot to spot until we found fish. Our first spot for success was (sorry for the lack of official names) the shoreline that is full of small boulders. As far as I know it's the only place on the lake like it. Small mouths and pan fish hang out there. Throw crank baits towards the shore and bounce it down the decline. If you want pan fish drop your worm on a small hook ~1 ft. off the bottom in about 20 ft. of water, thats where we were getting all of our fish. Then when we found the muskies we found some coves that was undisturbed by the power squadron. If you want muskies, go the opposite direction of the water skiers[cool] And use big lures for those muskies. We were using 4-6" lures and we only managed juvenile musky. Anyways this is what worked for us last weekend.

Thanks, We'll give it a go tomorrow.

Wow another great Pineview thread. Good pointers - specific on what and where. I'm lovin it!
Ok, I'm sold - Sunday's gotta be my Pineview day!
I'll have to see how ya'lls Sat trips turn out, if you get a chance to report. I've never managed much luck with cut bait, though I hear it talked up enough. Maybe if I find some yummy young perchlings. Yeah Newton has the 1" rule too - must be a Musky thing!
Thing I still don't get is why is it ok to use perch for bait, but not buegills, bass? Or maybe I'm mixed up. I hear talk of using white-bass as cut-bait at UL all the time.
I stuck this on another thread - but helps me knowing what ya'll call all this alcoves and turnoffs. Big lake for my and my little ride, but sounds like low winds and fair weather. Hope the ski-squad parties it up tonight, and sleeps in tomorrow!!
