Kali and I just got back from Sekiu, on the Olympic Peninsula. Fished for four days, targeting the coho run. On the last two days, the Wash. F. and G. lifted the restriction on keeping wild coho. Our timing couldn't have been better. The run arrived on our second day, and the fishing was terrific. Lots of doubles, (watched one boat hit four fish all at once), and big coho on top of that. Average fish were running 6-12 pounds, and some in the 16-17 pound category. Coho are just plain nuts! They fight like no other. Also caught and released lots of blackmouth (chinook). Brought back two coolers of beautiful filets. As with ocean fishing, there certainly were some slow times as well, but all in all a great time. If you haven't tried it, especially in your own boat, you need to do it sometime. Mike
