I haven't camped at Strawberry since I was a scout, I've always just gone for day trips. My wife suggested we go camping this weekend and Strawberry immediately came to mind.
Let me interject here with 'I wish Strawberry was a state park' so that my parks pass was valid, and so that it was easier to find information on fees, etc. for camping.
My question is where to camp, with a tent, and a boat.

Looking at the attached map, it looks like there is camping at Renegade point, Aspen grove, and Soldier creek marina, and also strawberry marina. From Google maps, it looks like I can launch my boat from any one of these campsites.
I have only been able to find info on the strawberry marina area, so my question is, who manages the other camp sites, does anyone happen to know the overnight fees and/or launch fees?

Any help will be much appreciated.

At aspen grove camp ground its a short drive to the boat ramp and you dont have to pay twice. Once you paid for the camp site it covers the boat ramp too.

I actually like the Soldier Creek side for camping because there are trees and less people typically. Camping/Launching fees are combined. Nice ramp too.

What is the fee currently? Is it the same fee for both Aspen Grove or Soldier Creek campsites?

Looks like the fees are the same for the various campsites, $17.
Aspen Grove looks like the best choice for what I want; close boat ramp, shade for the fam, and a mountain bike trail in case I can't catch a fish.

We mostly primitive camp up the Mud Creek road. We have stayed at the campgrounds near the Strawberry Bay marina and the one at Soldier Creek. In fact, at Strawberry bay,I remember seeing some other campers near us (we were pretty close to the water) who just beached their boats near their campsite and didn't have to pull them out of the water every night. I know the campground at Soldier Creek is a bit farther and you probably wouldn't want to do that.
