I called a couple of people to see if they wanted to fish today and they had other plans, so I went by myself. He was a pretty good partner. Didn't give me any lip and didn't complain when I wanted to move or how I positioned the boat either. emoBig
<br /><br />I also wanted to fish fresh water. Water that hasn&#39;t been beaten to death, so I went to a part of the lake that was almost virgin lately. First cast under a big dock, I caught a nice 12&quot; keeper. I stayed at that dock for about 30 minutes and only had 1 fish under 11&quot; long. I moved around this big dock quite a bit and didn&#39;t try to fish out a spot that had fish. I think that I had 7 over 11.5 inches long up to 13&quot;. S/P stubby butt with a tail light on a 1/32 oz jighead. Fish were at a 9-12 count.<br /><br />Then I hit about 4 other new places and didn&#39;t catch a fish under those docks. I moved a lot and hit docks and bluffs. I would catch a nice keeper from time to time. I had 7 fish under 11&quot; all morning. Caught 18 total plus 3 or 4 bluegills. I hung what was probably a drum or bass just outside one dock and it pulled drag for about 30 seconds before pulling off. No slime on the line, so it probably wasn&#39;t a catfish.<br /><br />I wanted to drop shot for bass, but when I got to the hotspot, there wasn&#39;t bait or fish anywhere to be found. I guess that Norman has run them all off. emoPoke emoUp <br /><br />The sun got hot and the current picked up and I headed for home. Nice wonderful day with very little wind.
