Dr Phillip had to be off the water by 10:00 this AM or we would have done better. Fishing for only 2.5 hours, we landed 26 crappie of which 21 were over 11 inches long, the largest at 13.5. We fished docks only where I found fish yesterday. The last stop, we nearly had to violate a rule that I have on the boat. You can't quit if you have just caught a fish. You must make another cast until you don't catch one. The fish were really turned on at 10:00 and I made a cast out of the area just so I wouldn't catch a fish. We were already running late. He needed to be at the ramp at 10:00 and we were getting a double at 10:00. emoBigSmile Save'em for later.

I know that the guys at Soddy Custom tackle have a lot of faith in their yellow tubes with chartreuse tails and only fish them and nothing else, and I started off with that color today, but the minute that I put on a crystal shad panfish assassin with a tail light, we started catching nice quality crappie. Nothing on the yellow/chartreuse. I guess that I don't know how to hold my mouth right when fishing the other lure. emoBigSmile

Fish were holding about a 9 count again today and tight to wooden posts. We did notice a school of shad that were chowing down on the algae on the posts and that's the reason that the crappie were so tight too. They were chowing down on the shad. We had a blast this AM, but the wind got up earlier than expected and was a hinderance. We moved to a more protected dock and fished there until we had to quit. I did have one little spot jump and throw the lure back at me and although no bluegills were caught, they did manage to nip off the tail light on Phil's lure. Water temp was 81.4 at 10:00. emoBigSmile emoGeezer
