Has anyone been up to Newton lately looking for muskys?
I was thinking about heading up this weekend... What are the muskies biting on and where were you guys fishing from?

I was out there last saturday, water is really low if you can't carry your boat to the water then you'll have to fish from shore. We didn't catch any muskie, but we fished for bass mostly. It was pretty slow for anything of decent size, six to eight inchers was about as good as we did, with only a couple that reached about a foot. We were getting tons of bites but mostly pesky perch and baby bass, that couldn't fit our lures in their mouths. If you want to catch small bass and perch just put anything they can get their mouth over and you will do good. We did see a guy land one muskie on bait from shore.
