I'm in the process of planning a new ice fishing event for this coming winter. I'm likely done with the Burbot Bash, so this winter I'm starting something new. It will either be a Perch Party at Jordanelle or Ice Wipers at Willard, Crappie & Perch at Pineview, white bass/pan fish at Utah lake. Utah lake or Willard will not work if we have a mild winter, because the ice might not be good. I will run it just like I did the Burbot Bash as far as give away prizes go. Which one would you be interested in, if you are interested at all? Thanks for any response or feed back you like to give.

Perch Party for me, about anywhere.
I don't like the ice at Willard and Perch are very cooperative for the kids.

WH2- What about a crappie and perch party at pineview?

That might be another option, thanks for the suggestion.

After seeing Tubedude's ice fishing netting reports from Utah Lake - How about some event down by the Knolls at Utah lake? I think all the popular species are available... as well as the un-popular golden varieties...

This is a great Idea. I think that we should do another poll with the winner of this one and maybe a Pineview one. They may not be the biggest in PV, but everyone would for sure catch a bunch of fish and @ willard it can be hit and miss @ best.

I've never caught a wiper through the ice and haven't heard of one being caught. Might be interesting. I'm for Pineview.[

Utah Lake could be a good option for an ice party as well, I would be down with PV also, but we also have to consider our southern living members. That is why UT lake may be a better option as it would cut the drive for them.

dam I was really looking forward to another burbot bash at the gorge this year. I learned so much about them last year I can't wait for it to freeze over again. With a little bit of luck maybe we can get a mini burbot bash together, no giveaways or long winded seminars just a bunch of folks with one goal in mind eliminating the burb's. I wouldn't mind going to either pineview or utah lake, I get skunked enough on willard in the summer to not want to go out and freeze my butt off and get skunked.

Hey, I had already voted for Jordenelle before PV was an option. That's why cantidates must register before voting begins.
Just talking trash.
As most of you know these get togethers are all about geting kids involved in fishing, for me, and I will be down with any get together that involves them at a place close enough to take kids that are not mine (no overnight) and they have a chance to catch some fish.

[#800000]Just remember that Willard doesn't SAFELY ice over every year. I would guess Utah Lake is the same. And the higher lakes (PV, Jordy, DC, the Berry, etc.) always do. Just sayin' . . .[/#800000]

[#800000]If I'm not laid up again this winter, I could be talked into helping run it as well. [

+1 on helping out. I can help with the event in whatever capacity. I also like some of the UL ideas there are pretty much always fish being caught on safe ice there and Pineview is a gurantee for #'s of fish caught.
