I just got back from the rexburg nature ponds with my daughters and they each caught a couple of fish and had a great time.
I was thinking about taking them to the sand creek ponds and was just wondering if anybody had any tips for which pond or places would be accessible for kids and still give them a good chance of catching something. I have only been out there once before but did not have any luck.
thanks for your help.
Right before dark the fish in pond #4 and #1 are rising on emergers. People are catching a lot of fish right in the surface film. You may be able to rig them up with a bobber and chironomids and do ok.

Earlier in the year I was doing well with my kids using a garlic sented marshmellow and a small piece of worm on a size 6 hook. I haven't been out there in a while so I don't know about bait recently, but I do know the flies are working.

Steelfisher was there last week and one of my coworkers a couple of days ago.
