<br /> Put in @ 5:30 this morning to see if I could catch some fish before daybreak and it started bad. I couldnt get my front light to work but after 30 minutes emoBang and loosing my flashlight I finally got going. Headed up to the dam and started throwing Spinnerbait while the rain poured, no takers so I picked a hair jig and finally caught a smallie about 16 inches. Took a pic in front of my headlight which was the best I could do. Rain eased up and decided to drift a little with the jig, felt a light tap and set the hook. I knew it wasnt a bass I figured a large drum. Fought it for about 10 to 15 min till she had enough, it was a huge flathaed. Took a pic while in the water then look for my gloves so I could pull her over the boat. Man what a task that was! Took a couple pics and weiged it with my berkly scales and it was 44lbs 1oz. Thats 2 monter cat ive caught this year while bass fishing. Caught some LM in some scools on topwater and a Hybrid.
