Me and Christopher put in below Parksvelle dam and floated about 8 miles of the Ocoee river on Sat. The flow out of Parksville is weird and we hit the 7 am release just about perfectly because there was good flow from start to finish, when we got back up to the dam at 1:30 to get Christopher's truck the flow was completely gone.

The action was hot right off the bat, we caught 3 within sight of the dam and lost as many. We chose the wrong channel at the first island and were stuck in a dinky little creek for about 1.5 miles before we joined back up with the main flow. We pulled up on some rocks and had lunch at around mile #5 I took the opportunity to take a swim and jump off a sweet rock that was about 15 feet up off of a nice deep blue hole, really refreshing. We caught about 30 total, 28 spots and 2 smallmouth, all but 2 of mine were on a spook and 2 other two were on a brown 1/8 spinner, and Christopher caught all of his on a little rapala rainbow trout. Our next kayak trip won't be till next April cause life is getting in the way for the rest of the good kayak fishing season this year, we will be hitting the Duck River in central Tennessee for our next trip.
