Been hiking some shoreline a few days throughout the last week casting big streamers trying to hook up with my first musky. After about 10 hours of walking and casting I hooked into my first musky today! Its nothing huge, but it sure got me excited. After one quick photo I released him and casted back out a few more times and hooked into my second one about 20 yards from where I caught the first. They were both well under 30" but that doesn't matter one bit to me! Good times!

Nice going man! Ive caught Musky on a spinning rod but never a fly rod. I bet that was wild. Do you still use some kind of heavy duty leader? or just normal tippet?

I got some knottable wire bite tippet by rio(i think) from anglers den in roy, I just attatch a foot long section to a shortened leader.

Well done. I gotta try that still. Thanks for sharing.

Awesome! Congrats. Not many are willing to put in that kind of time.

30 lb flouricarbon is great for tiger musky tippet because of its resistance to abrasion resistance.
way to go Afk2fish!!!
