Is there anywhere in SW Idaho that a person could catch a mack? I would like to fish a little for some larger fish, closer to the area I live. I see guys on sites in Oregon with 10 to 16 LBS macks, Wishing there was a place closer to this part of the state. I guess there are always steelhead, but would like to troll for something big.

From southwest Idaho you need to jump over to Odell, in Oregon or up to N. Idaho or across to Jackson Lake or The Gorge. You might say you are centrally located . . .

I haven't fished for them, but I know they were stocked in Warm Lake, Payette Lake, Stanley Lake. There may be other areas stocked also you might check F&G website. Then I would call sporting goods stores local to that area and see if they are fished for there and with what.
