So I just read this article on KSL. It seems that our fishing licenses will be going up in price to pay off the owners of various properties surrounding streams. All this to grant the access we already had as sportsmen prior to HB 141.
Gov. Herbert found a way to pay his in-laws off just like he did the I-15 contractors in Utah County! HE IS A JOKE!!

Didn't buy a UT license this year because of this law, won't buy one next year, or the year after.
Didn't register my boat, didn't buy an annual pass or go to any state parks, didn't spend my normal $400 on fishing tackle this year.
The increase will be needed to offset the number of people like me who don't fish in UT anymore.
Put that in your pipe and smoke it, Kuputicks.
I did buy a new raft and now have 3 kayaks to float the streams with.

OH boy, an opportunity to pay for something we should already own -- elections have consequences.
THROW THE BUMS OUT !

thank god for lifetime licenses.... its just to bad that one of our other past goveners felt they should not be sold anymoore. best 500.00 i ever spent. that govener gave us whirling because his brothers fish farm would have lost alot of money to the infected fish so he used his power to get them sold to our dwr.[crazy]

Welcome to the DWR and state of Utah....
And a lot of people think the new bass reg's are great as well...I don't fish streams any more, so why should I fight for other trout fisherman rights to walk along and fish the streams he loves....
We should be helping each other!!!!!

i think the new bass regs are not a bad thing myself. but i do want a big smallie on the wall so its a selfish reason i like the new regs for sure. but i always loved the way big smallies look. i am going to start fishing for them again now that regs have changed. havent chased bass for 15 yrs at least. now i will.

Well i am glade i got out of that state. so it could be like 34 or more dollars to buy a fishing license? that is expensive. i just bought a north dakota non resident fishing license for 35 dollars. when i become a resident it will only be 10 dollars. Also you can use 2 poles for one license. so you don't need to cough up 10 more dollars for a second pole permit. you can also use 4 poles while ice fishing.. pineviewfisher
