Gene of Tellico crappie fame talked me into chasing some crappie today. He drove down and I picked him up at Wolftever ramp about 8:00. We had an interesting day, most every place we stopped had crappie holding on the dock. We would catch 1 or 2 and they would stop. Most fish were shallow, 6-8 count and mostly on shallow docks. We never did get a real strong bite going with lots of fish on any dock. I had to quit a little early, and we ended the morning with 19 crappie with 16 being very nice keepers up to 13+". Think we had 3 bass with one a 4" LM. About the smallest I have ever caught. Good day till the wind got up and made boat handling tough. Enjoyed the company Gene, but I am not giving up my bass fishing yet, lol. Gene tried his "shooting spoon" and caught a bass on his first shot. The boy might be on to something. All fish back to the lake.

Regards, Labman
