Fished a 1/2 day aboard the "Sea Legs" on Monday, August 18th with Capt. Tommy Robinson out of Naples. My buddy Pete and I stole a few hours from work to watch a beautiful sunrise as we headed out to the Sheriff's Reef to gold hook up some blue runners for bait. After putting 10 or so in the livewell, we were headed out to some of Tom's personal spots holding barricuda.
Not 5 minutes after getting to the structure, we had our first take of the morning, but alas, no hook found the mark. We re-rigged another blue runner on a 4" of wire and set him off the stern. The next strike was a cealn hookup with a spectacular aerial show...minutes later we boarded a beautiful 22 lb Cuda. The cudas seemd to prefer the boat in a slow trol to drifting, and we wore out the baits, landing 2 more cudas, one 17 lbs, the other 25 lbs, before heading back in.

Capt. Robinson was a superb host, and I can't think of a better way to start a week. More importantly, this was a charter that Capt. Robinson had donated to the SW FL Ronald McDonald House Charity Ball. I was the lucky winner of the silent auction, and I sincerely appreciate Capt. Robinson's generosity to this fine charity.
He's one of the best, http://www.tomsdeepseafishing.com
Have a a great week.
