I really hate to do anything to impune the reputation of a business so I will state facts. I asked Idaho Marine to try to figure out why my 15 horse honda would die while running (it would start back up but it was nuisance) and I thought while my boat was there to go ahead and change the oil in my pump (175 Merc sport jet)
They called and said I had an older sport jet and they would have to take it apart to change the oil and it would 6oo bucks. I told them not to touch it and I would be right there to pick it up.
They charged 175 to tell me they tuned the honda and then charged me 25 bucks for a bottle of fuel cleaner.
I then took my boat Tri-stae and they changed th oil in my pumo for 90 bucks....and oh by the way..the Honda still dies once in a while..... another time I bought a prop from them for the hinda and asked them to rebuild the old one,...they called me 9 months later......those are the facts!
Never again!

There is only one place to take a boat in your neck of the woods. in my opinion.
Henson's Dry Dock. He's over off of Chicago, behind woody's and down the street a ways.
Through the years (about 20) I have used dang near every boat dealer in canyon county. some are not even in business anymore. Tri state used to be one of my fav's, but they have always had issues. Now they are more of an archery shop? Western has never really did me wrong, but they are expensive! And don't get me started on Minor's... That one Skeeter place in Caldwell used to be good, if you could wade through the stuck up BASS guys to talk to Marv.
I am dating my self, ain't I?
Here is one recent expiereince: 2 weeks ago, I was in Boise buying a boat and had an issue. I called tri state and told them what was going on. over the phone they told me what was wrong, quoted me 300.00. and if i hurry they could "squeeze" me in. didn't have a real good gut feeling about it, so i called Henson's. i was in a hurry, had to be back to Utah, in less than 2 days, and needed the boat fixed. i would have called Lynn first, but figured no way he could fit me in his schedule.
My old friend Lynn fixed me up, over night, for 80.00.
Sorry about that rant, i don't have any info on Idaho Marine. Did they take over the old Tracker dealer?
Anyway, boats and boat dealers can be the biggest source of frustration and pain!. Godd Luck and I hope it all works out.

I've always used Idaho Marine and have had no complaints. I am curious to hear from others. I have had problems with others in Boise. Mike

Idaho Marine has been me and my friends "go to" for several years now. Seems they do a fair job for a fair price.
