I headed for the Nell this morning thinking the storm was over...Not...
The temps was in the low 40's at first light with no wind, the water was a warm 56 and I thought the clouds would be leaving as the sun (what sun) was coming up but you could not tell when it was up...
The fishing started out with a brown on the boat ramp and then nothing till almost 9:00...
Some times when your not catching fish you think its a full moon or just after a front or any of the 1,000 other excuses but I found out that they just didn't want what I was using ...
I tried a few lures I wanted to but like always the fish knew what they wanted...
I got fish in lots of spots and all but one was over 12" with the biggest at 18" at best..
I got fish in the north end all the way up the arm and back both trout and bass, the biggest trout was 25 1/4" and the first one I got...
The wind came up about 12:30 and I left at 1:30 and had a better day then I hoped too...
