Picked up my new friend Mike at his dock at about 7:30. The plan was to try for some bass and have a couple of crappie rods for fallback. We started in a back bay at CFP and had some top water fun, but the fish were pretty standard smalls. Next stop was a deep water spot that was loaded with fish, but could not get them going. <br /><br />Next hit a floating dock and pitched a dropshot with gulp minnow and a weightless senko worm. That did not do too well so we thought we would try for some crappie while there. Caught 2 Bass and 10 Crappie on BG Shads any color of blue. <br /><br />Moved on to try for some more bass in the grass and Mike caught the best of the day on weightless senko. I played my usual role of expert netman. Last stop another shallow bay with grass and lots of baitfish. We caught several and missed several. Great day to be out on the lake, and if the weather ever stablizes fishing should be good.<br /><br />Regards, Labman<br />
