We said to heck with the forecast and met up with Zach aka Kochnut, before he leaves to Kuwait Monday Morning for 6 months.
What a swell guy. Glad to meet him and the future wife Bri.
But, back to the report,
We met up north at one of my fav lakes.
AND YES BRI....HE SMOKED US!
The fishing was slow and we all caught but Zach was like 2 or 3 to our one.
Gave us a chance to test the new boats and my review......."I LOVE THESE THINGS! Seriously, they are so comfortable!.
Baxter was a little
and cold, but cool with it.
This is called STALKING:
But it was paying off.
Fish were fat and full of fight:
All caught on......CHIRONOMIDS...my favorite
And all released.
Starting to rain so we headed out, but Zach went motoring off into the .....sun set?
Gonna be a long winter with out you here friend!

My family will pray for his safe return. Hope he will be able to wet a line some while he is there. Hopefully my Rangers can keep him safe.
Nice fish. Don't hide your smiling face next time.lol
How deep were they today? Love your avatar. Was that a young you?

Thanks Pa..we were anywhere from 12' to 18'.
As far as the AVATAR......Nothing screams WEEKEND better than underpants on your head...ROCK ON!!!!

That Renegade looks great! They are such a versatile and easy to use boat. Amazing isn't it that they only weigh a few more pounds than the Escapes. What are you hanging your oars from? Are they tied up?
Nice fish too! It looks like you are cruising some of my favorite areas. With this colder weather, were the fish hanging deep?

Amazing! I am only about 15 miles away and we only got a sprinkle or two. Not much at all. That is Idaho for you.
The rear deck does look handy, but I don't have a Baxter, so it probably isn't a necessity yet. I have thought of mounting a motor on one in front though. One of those wishes to drool over for the future.
I noticed that you are floating nice and level, so must not have had a problem with the battery placement.
The fish were all over the depths last time I was there. They were nice and fat then too. Fun!

best of luck to you out there brother [
