I'm looking for some information on the water level out at Vernon reservior. Is there much water left in it? Think there are any fish left in it?

My sons scout troop is wanting to go camping out there in the next couple of weeks and any recent information will be helpful.
I'm pretty sure they will go and camp regardless (Weather and authorities permitting) but I'd like to know what to expect.

I was out scouting for deer and drove by there and it had some water in it about 10 days ago . not a lot but it should be filling up now . seen people fishing it then

Thanks for the information. I guess we'll give it a try regardless. We try to do an overnight a month for them and Vernon is close than most places.
Did it look worth it to take canoes along?

Thanks for the information. The scouts had a good trip and caught a few rainbows and 2 tigers out of the pond just before dark. They missed a few more.
The lake is indeed filling again and the camping was great. We were the only ones there and took the tucked in site on the South end.
Before we left we had a good clean-up and filled 3 contractor size bags with trash, just to make the place a little nicer for the next folks.

Good on ya! We sure need more guys like you teachin the up and comers. Sure do appreciate the trash pickup, can't believe there are so many folks w/ no conscience that can leave all their crap behind. I challenge all to speak up whenever they witness the losers dirtying our banks. Thanks Again!

I applaud you and your troop! A scout is "clean", and not just morally.[cool]

Good job Troll !! Good job.

Springtime is beautiful out there, about one or two weeks after 'ice-off'. The planting usually comes a little later than that but there always seems to be some left over rainbows and a few browns.
