Had a few hours to kill while the GF did halloween stuff so I headed up to the weeb. Water is still low and clear and the whities are still spawning I could see them stacked 20 or 30 deep in the shallows. Tried throwing some flies at them but they would see my fly and give it the fin and swim around it ...[crazy]

Since I was limited on time today waded straight to a hole I was once sucessfull at and what do you know pulled all 3 of these guys out of the same run.







All in all caught a dozen or so fish in 3 hours majority of them were little spitfires 12 to 14 inches. Mannnn I swear the little ones can fight they would pull out 20 to 30 yards of line and go airborne every time. [cool][][laugh]

Thats awesome. I am falling more and more in love with the Weber. The Provo has become my nemisis. I struggle up there, but really have fun on the Weber. As far as the fight I have to agree. In fact I hit strawberry on Friday, and caught a ton on jigs, and did get one on a streamer (which was way funner than jigs, but had floating line). But even though the fish are much bigger at strawberry and a blast to catch, it seems like the smaller fish in the Weber fight harder than the big ones at the Berry. Is it just me, or are the fish stronger in a river because they have to fight the current? Anyway, those are some great pics. Hope to get up there sometime within the next week.

I've caught many cutts at the Berry in the late 70's early
80's. The cutts shake their heads a couple of times and
then roll in like a log. I pulled out 17 browns in one hole on 10/22. Ranged 12 to 17 inches. Great fight. But nothing fights like a rainbow.

We were at Strawberry today and I notice one thing, other lakes the Trout SMASH your fly and you know they hit, but Strawberry, it is like they are swimming with you. You feel resistance all of a sudden, but no BAM!!!

its called a bright hare. if you look around hard enough you should be able to see where sinergy did a fly swap and lunkerhunter2 tied some up. sinergy took pics of them and all.

There kinda similar in fact that there hares ears .. but on his he didn't tie in a crystal bead nor the wing casing Id give more details on it but that's up to lunkerhunter 2 if he wants to share that fly or not.... symantecs ... anyways koch ill send you a pm

I got bored of tying the same ol flies so ive been creating variations of flies tying this in and putting a bead in here just messing around. Some are successful some are duds but fun to tie one on fish it and see what happens.

what about combing a pt with hares ear []

Ive never tied a hare ear but will try to keep it in mind.. :-)...

I am going to be tying up two dozen fb pt nymphs for two swaps Im in ... only difference in the two is one dozen is tied with turkey tail instead of pheasant tail... ... after that I may do some experimenting and see what I can come up with.. :-) ...
