Hello,

Just wanted to introduce myself as a new member. I have read some posts and you guys are a great help with all the posts. I like to fish the northeast corner of the state being from Southwest Wyoming. Always looking for new places to go and meet new people to fish with. Any tips on where I might find some perch or walleye is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Hello, and welcome!

The perch action is getting good at Pineview Res and should be great this Ice season.

As far as walleye go....they can be tricky...UL, Deer Creek, Starvation...they have a bunch, but I haven't heard great reports for a while.

I think Pat....TubeDude is hitting starvation and may have a report up tonight.

Good Luck, and welcome,

Shawn M

Thanks! We were thinking about hitting DC on Sunday, and Pineview has always been a favorite spot for the perch for me. We used to do well at Rockport but the perching has been ridiculously slow the last few years through the ice anyway. What happened to that lake? If you ever want to hit some lakes when the ice comes, let me know.

Awesome! We have quite a few from Wyoming on here. One of my best buddies from up there is [#212126]trfishin[/#212126], great guy that loves to fish. We could hook up this ice season @ pineview. There are also perch in DC, but you really have to know their hangouts do do any good...and even then it can be tough....PV is the place for perch.

Keep in touch, and shoot [#212126]trfishin[/#212126] a PM,

I will definitely try and find him. I live in Evanston so it is better for me to just buy a non-res license and fish closer to home. My buddy really wants to go to DC for some reason, hopefully we can at least catch something other than a cold. I usually try and put most everything back anyway. I suggested East Canyon to catch some troutskies, but he insists that all the fish there have some sort of cancerous tumor. Not sure what that is all about. I would really like to find a good place for some tigers too. Any reports on East Canyon or somewhere the tigers are biting would be awesome.

Welcome[cool] dont forget to post up your reports n pics until then take care n good luck.

The trout at East Canyon are often riddled with anchor worms. Not supposed to be harmful to humans but it makes for some rough looking fish. Welcome to BFT.

Hey Perchski, Id say if your buddy is dead set on DC and you dont want to go there....to heck with him. Get your own boat and fish whatever water you want! He must be stubborn....... by the way...see you in the morning! LOL

Maybe I will see ya out at the View, I usually will be wearing my black snowboarding pants and the brown and gold Cowboy coat (and yes I know they suck). I've heard of people catching walleye at Sulphur Creek up here but I've never seen one. From what I've been told is you pretty much have to be fishing for something else to catch a walleye.
