i was ice fishing once and a bunch of guys started asking me what my name was, they looked kind of funny at me when i told them mike, they all had bft computer names they called eachother by. the place had been reported on bft the day before.many people on this board are trying to use bft to sell something, landscaping,real estate cars,tutoring,fishing weights, books about fishing spots,etc. the same as doug miller or reece stein. I really dont like the idea of trying to gain personal wealth off of the great outdoors.I remember on here a guy named lunkerhunter2,gave out to much info at pineview and he regretted it, fishley did the same.the people on here who post the most are probably trying to sell something.same as reece or doug just on a smaller scale.

[cool][#0000ff]That is a totally absurd accusation. How can you read people's motives so negatively? I have been a contributing BFTer for many years, and personally know a whole lot of others. While there may be some who hope to gain more personal attention through posting, the majority post reports not only to do a little bragging (or complaining) but to help fellow BFTers.[/#0000ff]

We do have a special board for members to offer their goods or services to other members. What's wrong with that? Most of us would rather buy something from a friend or fellow BFT member than someone or some company we don't know or trust. And if we are not shopping we don't have to visit the 4 sale board. +1, I can't think of anyone who is "using" this board for $$$ and to sell something as their primary reason for posting.
Some people choose to have a small ad that they purchase so that anyone interested can ask for more info, but thats how stuff is....while typeing this message, I have seen 4 ads.
If you want to post something helpful, post it. If it is a secret or you think others will mess up "your" fishing spot by doing so, then don't post....simple as that.

The guys on this site have done me TONS of favors. Hell I wen't from not catching a single fish for over three months, Tubedude helped me out along with others. Now I have not smelled a skunk in 30+ trips out.
