Just wondering if the Henry's regulars think it will still be liquid this weekend. I'm hoping to get at least one last trip on it before it freezes. It has seen some cold nights this week though so I'm a bit worried.
Anybody have confirmation that it still is liquid and an idea of whether it will be on Saturday? Otherwise, does Island Park typically freeze before or after Henry's freezes?

Not sure about the current conditions, but it has been pretty cold and not a whole lot of wind. I would bet that you could at least find some open water somewhere on the lake, but I'm not positive. However, island park res always is always slower to freeze than Henrys so you could use that as your backup.
Unfortunately, I'm hoping for the opposite as you. I want henrys to freeze ASAP so I can ice fish the week of thanksgiving. Hope this helps!

[#000050]You could call the Wild Rose Ranch at Henry's @ 208.558.7201 and they could tell you current conditions.[/#000050]

I really don't have any info to veryify my gut feeling, but I would think there will still be some open spots this weekend. Next weekend I wouldn't plan on it.
Island Park has always frozen a little later than Henrys. It usually has ice around the second week in December.

Dev, I am betting you will be fine this weekend. Ev was just there last weekend and it was beautiful. Suppose to warm back up too. Going to be in the 50's the first part of next week here.
Go get one for me, k.

Was up there today, the wind protected areas and shallow marshy areas were iced up. Its not supposed to warm up there at all, but you should have some water to fish. The ice is definitely coming though, soon.

Yeah I was fishing there for a tournament so I was stuck on the muddy water after it doubled in flow and blew out. We actually fished Santa Cruz and did just fine.

Devflyguy,
Did you end up fishing henrys? If so, how were the conditions?
Thanks,
