Jim is storing up crappie for a big fish fry for his employees and so we went the last two afternoons to find some. I hadn't been out for crappie in a while but we found some. We fished docks and deep drops yesterday and found a few here and a few there. Jim had two TARP crappie yesterday, see his pic. We fished from about 2:15 to 6 yesterday and from about 2:15 to 5:30 today. I caught 3 TARPS today with one of them being the longest crappie that I think I have every caught, just a hair shy of 16 inches. I didn't weight her but she was well over 2lbs. We fished PAs and BG shads on 1/32 oz heads at docks and 1/16 oz heads on the deep drops. One of the TARPs came at a drop of 37 seconds just before hitting bottom. it takes a while to get the bait down but when you pull up big fish it's worth the wait. The water temp in the creek was 56 and 60-61 on the main lake. Here are the pics.
