[fishin]which lakes in utah have the best all around scores?

as in the state and federal gov, says they have invested alot of money this year on upgrades at the lakes and resivores and camp grounds?

which would you say is the best and why?

here are some of the things they sid they upgraded or added.

1) ramps,,and ramp repairs

2) ease of access in parking

3) better drop boxes for early risers to pay fees

4) upgraded restrooms

5) better signage to show regulations

6) more and better trained attendants/warrdens

7) better assortment of stocked fish

8) more onsight tent and camping spots with water, electric, dump stations

9) addition of more onsight mini-marts,rentals,and bait and tackle

10) and the last and the thing they have said is most inmportant more ranger/warden/park representative
out on the water enforcing boating and fishing regulations

if in your travels you have seen these improvments please chime in and tell us what you think and where you were at i for one would like to see and use these additions which will preserve our blue ribbon water ways

im not being critical but i havent gotten a chance to get out to all the lakes in the last couple of years and we should take an intrest in anything that is intended to improve our fishing in this state .
this is my point of view what do you all think!!!!

When you say lakes, I'm sure you mean all bodies of water so with that, I'll be the first to chime in.

#1 Federal - Both Buckboard and Lucerne Campgrounds at Flaming Gorge have made significant improvements by adding showers and new restroom facilities. There is signage posted that indicate more changes are on the way like larger campsites. Let's face it, we're all hauling bigger rigs now than the campgrounds were designed for. This past year Lucerne Marina allowed a burger stand to operate all Summer long but I didn't think it was advertised very well. It was located at the East end of the parking lot near the Marina.

#2 Utah State Park - Just came back from Bear Lake yesterday and was delighted to see the improvements made there. It has been several years since my last trip there so I don't know when the changes were made but it hasn't been too long ago.

#3 Federal/Private - Strawberry Bay Marina has improved over the years with "HEATED" restrooms. They sure are nice when you come off a cold and windy day of fishing. The small store and restuarant has also seen it's share of improvements. A personable staff is always a nice encounter!

#4 Utah State Park - It's been several years now but this states' biggest undertaking has got to be Jordanelle Reservoir and Hailstone State Park. This is pretty much a totally self contained facility. Cudos to the designers of this resort! Job Well Done!

#5 Utah State Park - Although I haven't been there yet, Sand Hollow in Southern Utah is another location to see our tax dollars at work. From what I've seen on TV, it won't be long till I make the trip South.

These are my opinions and I'm happy to report that I actually see the benefits of our state and federal governments stepping up when the economy is in the tank. We as sportsmen and outdoorsmen & women need to show pride and not allow these places to become trashed. We can't expect someone else to clean up after us free of charge. The old phrase "Pack It In, Pack It Out" is more true now than ever.
