Hey I have been thinking about getting me a new ice shack this winter but not sure what one to get yet?

I have had my eye on the Eskimo popup 6 man shelter does anyone have one or used one? If so can you guys let me know how they were and what problems if any you had with them? How they are to put up and take down in the wind?

Any help would be great I have an eskimo quick flip 2 flip over ice shack that I have had for a few years. Its been great and is still in great shape but would like one to be able to get my wife and 2 kids in with me when we all go fishing. Its getting closer with every COLD day now if we could just stop the wind

my dad has one that we've fished out of for the last two years and it's AWESOME! we had a quickfish 3 before that and there is a night and day difference between the 3 and 6. it's taller so you have much more room to walk around and instead of fitting three guys really cramped we usually fish four guys with lots of room. it is a giant sail though, gotta be careful taking it down if there's much wind. The ice spikes hold it pretty well while you're fishing. would definitely recommend it to buy, but It's not terrible if you can get a buddy or relative to let you borrow theirs either!

I fish out of one and they are a great tent to take the family out in. They are built rugged and I have not had any issues with it. And it gets used heavly. The only thing I can recommend is to get 10 ft of 1/4 rope for each pop out (side) and buy four extra ice anchores so that you can tie them all down when you set it up. That way if the wind changes you don't have to go out to change tie downs. It only comes with enough tie downs for one side. If it is windy when you take it down just undo one tie down at a time and it won't get away from you. They also take the wind when set up like this really well because you have 10 ft of rope out to your anchore and you get a better angle on it. Kind of like long lining a boat.

I have the QF6, love it. Its huge and makes it nice that people can spread out. Add a heater and it gets really cozy in there.
